Hodu-gwaja

Insam-eo-juk
This is a porridge made by boiling ginseng with Korean bullhead, mandarin fish, catfish, carp, etc. caught from the clean waters of the upstream area of the Geumgang River. Flour dough, noodles, etc. are added and everything is boiled again until it becomes very thick.

Jumbo shrimps caught from the clean waters of Cheonsuman Bay is famous as high-protein, low-fat food. Gourmets from all over the country visit this area in September to eat the local daeha-gui (grilled jumbo shrimps)

Every fall, Taean receives countless visitors thanks to the Jumbo Shrimp Festival. The jumbo shrimps taste the best in the fall season when they grow to about 30cm in length, and when you visit Taean, you can taste wild jumbo shrimps that will just melt in your mouth.
